    The Role

    As a Business Analyst at SPS Commerce in Melbourne, you will be an integral part of our Implementations team. You will conduct data reviews and analysis, identifying gaps and data limitations, complete design sourcing, provide design recommendations as well as manage the solution build process.  You will build rapport with the entire team while working to increase project efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Review customer requirements, mapping guidelines, EDI specifications and file formats
    • Perform technical data analysis while identifying gaps against SPS standard requirements
    • Complete design sourcing and mapping
    • Provide input and recommendations to external customers
    • Manage multiple tasks and design activities while managing shifting priorities and deadlines
    • In conjunction with the Project Management team, develop & manage client EDI implementation projects  
    • Development & implementation of project plans and timelines
    • Be the primary technical (EDI) contact for the client, including facilitating all necessary communications to all stakeholders
    • Enforce and execute on SPS best practices and methodologies
    • Maintain a continuous focus on quality and accuracy of data mapping
    • Develop a keen awareness of how design activities impact downstream function
    • Become an expert in all relevant design activities including:  Supply chain methodologies & data flow, ERP functionality & interface, data formats such as XML, X12, flat file & EDI transaction sets

     

    To be successful in this role, you will have:

    • 18 months + experience in a Junior BA or BA role
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to speak confidently in difficult conversations
    • Strong attention to detail and an understanding of data mapping processes
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
    • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
    • A strong drive to achieve excellent customer satisfaction

    Preferred, but not essential:

    • An understanding of EDI transactions, E-commerce & Supply Chain principles
    • Project Management and client relationship experience
    • Experience with text editing and data mapping tools
