Position Summary:  

We’re seeking an Associate Account Executive to join our sales organisation! Reporting to our Manager of Supplier Sales, in this role you will learn from the ground up how to successfully prospect, apply the sales skills learned, and ultimately grow earnings potential as the position transitions into a territory of their own. If you possess a sales-oriented mindset, strong communication skills and curiosity, this position could be an excellent fit for you! 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Sales Approach: Call into prospective and existing Retail and Supplier accounts using a consultative sales approach to learn about, understand, and ultimately uncover sales opportunities.Leads will be either generated through cold calling, inside sales efforts or marketing generated leads.
  • Sales Cycle & Territory Management: Partner with Account Executives to learn and understand the full sales cycle process while assisting them in territory management; eventually own the complete sales cycle, drive revenue and close sales. 
  • Customer Service: Provide dynamic customer service by offering accurate product information and timely follow-up in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Collaboration & Documentation: Collaboratively work within team and cross-functionally, aligning with SPS Values, and document key findings, progress, and pipeline velocity in Salesforce.com. 

Location:  

In this hybrid role, you will be required to work onsite from our Sydney or Melbourne office at least 3 days per week. 

  

Required Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree OR a combination of some post-secondary education PLUS 2 years of work experience
  • Proven aptitude for sales, results and a strong desire to meet and exceed goals
  • Clear, concise, and confident communicator
  • Demonstrative behaviors around integrity, curiosity, engagement, self-driven initiative, collaboration, relationship building, customer engagement/support, and leadership expectations
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills to meet customer and business needs

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • 1+ years of experience in Sales (outside sales, inside sales, retail sales, telemarketing) preferred
  • Proven competence with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Salesforce.com
