Description

Job Summary:

 

The International Sales Engineer role supports the Asia Sales team, with the goal of helping the region achieve quota by supporting the team with various technical needs (there will be training provided), with a focus on pre-sale activities.  Acting as a technical account leader, the Sales Engineer will help the customer understand proof of concept/proof of technology definition and management.

 

Essential Responsibilities / Duties

  • Work directly with Asia Sales Account Executives to evaluate technical needs and develop sales strategies with customers and prospects
  • Present and demonstrate (demo) products during pre-sales discussions and propose designs and validations
  • Analyze customer needs and recommend products and/or services
  • Answer client questions on product function and usage and solve sales support problems
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of complex aspects of products and systems for Accounting/ERP systems in deals (ex. Quickbooks, Netsuite, SAP, Oracle, Kingdee, Ufida etc.)
  • Act as a liaison, when needed, between the customer and the SPS Implementation team tied to technical discovery and design decisions
  • Provide technical consultations and knowledge transfer with sales staff/trainers/product support

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Clear, concise, and confident communicator (verbal, non-verbal, written), including effectively altering vocal tone/inflection, listening, and writing relevant and engaging content
  • Demonstrative behaviors around integrity, reliability, curiosity, engagement, self-driven initiative, collaboration, relationship building, customer engagement/support, and pro-active in day-to-day opportunities
  • Strong problem-solving and analysis skills (identify the key issue and work to find a resolution)
  • Ability to translate, simplify and clearly communicate (both verbal and written) complex business processes to others
  • Innovate and iterate in real time when presented with complex problems
  • Exhibit dynamic teamwork to successfully drive conversations/deals forward

 

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree plus in Computer Science and/or Business
  • Prior Trade, Retail, Supply Chain or Technical Consulting experience
  • ERP or CRM Consulting/Selling experience is preferred
  • Proven competence with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and a CRM, preferably Salesforce.com
  • Cantonese speaker is preferred
