Position Summary:   

We’re seeking a Software Engineer where you will have the opportunity to work with the SPS Commerce Documents team on one of the core solutions of the organization and take part in defining the way of its development and the tech roadmap. 

Working with new technologies in a highly loaded system, you will use your technical acumen and problem-solving skills to create, implement, integrate, and maintain software and system components. 

You will be delivering value to our customers while contributing to a collaborative team. 

Key Responsibilities:  

• Work with minimal supervision to implement complex methods and procedures within assigned problem domain 

• Estimate new work with consideration and commitment 

• Write quality code and tests that are maintainable, accurate, well tested, and following best practices for an entire product 

• Build services and components upon the latest frameworks, platforms and service providers  

• Monitor dashboards and respond to alerts and keep services running smoothly  

• Identify and communicate risk, ambiguity, complexity, and dependencies 

Location:  

 This is a hybrid role based in our Brampton Office in Toronto 

Required Qualifications:  

•  3+ years of experience in Java and Java frameworks (Spring boot preferred but open to other frameworks) 

• Experience in working with Docker, Cloud environments (AWS preferred but open to other cloud environments), CI/CD systems and Database 

• Proven experience writing quality code and tests that are maintainable, accurate, well-tested, and follow best practices 

• Hands-on experience with software development practices and can develop applications that are diverse in scope where good judgement and problem-solving skills are required 

• Nice to have experience in front-end frameworks such as React and Angular. 

• Understand agile development processes 

• Strong communication skills to proactively communicate status and risks within their team

The salary range for this role considers several factors, including education, relevant skills, work history, certifications, location, and more.  

The annual salary range for this role is: $71,300 - $106,900 CAD. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the factors listed above and may fall anywhere within the range.     

Additionally, you may also be eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. An incentive award, if granted, is based on individual and/or organizational performance.
