Description

As a HR Generalist on our HR Business Partner Team, you'll serve as the in-country HR expert for SPS Philippines, providing comprehensive human resources support across the employee lifecycle. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the HRBP, global HR functional teams, Corporate Payroll (US-based), and business leaders to ensure effective implementation of HR policies, programs, and initiatives that enhance engagement, performance, and compliance.
 
Operating within a global workforce, the HR Generalist partners with both local and international managers to support Philippines-based employees. This role covers a broad range of responsibilities, including employee relations, engagement, manager coaching, benefits and payroll coordination, and recruitment support. You will also drive continuous improvement by developing and streamlining HR processes to ensure efficiency, alignment, and an exceptional employee experience.

What You'll Do:  
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers across Philippines teams (includes Philippines based managers and global managers with Philippines team members). Address HR-related inquiries, concerns, and conflicts. Look into and resolve work complaints, misconduct, harassment allegations, or other employee concerns. Provide guidance and support to ensure fair and consistent application of policies and procedures. Escalate issues to HR management as necessary.
  • Partner with the business to execute employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, transfers, promotions, and offboarding, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
  • Support global HR team in the roll out and execution of annual talent processes and programs, including but not limited to performance management, compensation planning, talent reviews, succession planning, career development, and employee retention and engagement activities.
  • Conduct new employee orientation for all new hires in the Philippines utilizing SPS resources and adhering to SPS standards
  • Stay current with local labor laws and regulations in the geography, ensuring HR practices and policies are compliant and up to date. Develop and maintain programs, records, reports to ensure legal and regulatory compliance requirements are met. Assist with immigration processes related to work visa processing and document gathering, as well as process new hire paperwork and termination paperwork timely and accurately
  • Partner with global benefits team as necessary to ensure effective administration of local benefits
  • Help with coordination of local team meetings that require in-person attendance (hotel accommodations, meeting planning, etc)
  • Act as the Company Representative for Philippines specific requirements (authorized signatory as needed)
 
Where You'll Work:  
This is a fully remote position based in the Philippines.  As a part of our global HR Business Partner team at an organization with US based headquarters, will be required to primarily work US time zones and to overlap with the team's Australia based employees as well.
 
What You'll Bring:  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or relevant field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years related HR professional experience
  • Experience working with a remote, work from home workforce
  • Experience working in a global setting. Comfortable with working hours for this role, which is GMT-5.
  • Fluent in English
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Human Resources discipline including but not limited to employee relations, performance management, compensation/benefit administration and diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Comfort and expertise influencing business leaders on people related matters
  • Strong knowledge of relevant employment laws and geography specific regulatory requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); knowledge and experience utilizing various HR technology solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly motivated, ability to prioritize and complete projects within deadline  
  • Previous experience being aligned to employee populations and operating on an HR Business Partner team
  • Expertise in local labor laws and regulations in the geography, ensuring compliance in HR practices and policies

The salary range for this role considers several factors, including education, relevant skills, work history, certifications, location, and more.  
The annual salary range for this role is: ₱950,000 - ₱1,400,000 inclusive of 13th month pay. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the factors listed above and may fall anywhere within the range.
